Jamaica 1917 – WAR STAMP 3d Purple, Rare Block of 18 with Overprint Varieties

Jamaica 1917 – 3d purple on yellow, WAR STAMP overprint.
Unused block of 18 (3 × 6) from the upper-left corner of the sheet, featuring plate number “1” in the margin.

The block includes several important overprint varieties, such as:

• Inverted WAR STAMP overprint,

• “No dot after STAMP” on stamps 7 and 10,

• Very small dot varieties on stamps 13 and 16.

Original gum slightly toned; only the first stamp hinged, the rest MNH.
In this large multiple and with this combination of varieties, the piece is extremely rare and in excellent condition.
A true exhibition-level item for advanced collectors.
